It is available to you
It is funny how we often find ourselves coming back to the same place in our lives more than once. Be it people we should remove from our circle or stuck in the same line of work knowing that you hate it. As for relationships we may be going back to the same person looking for a different result. In a nut shell we find ourselves camping on the borders or God’s love. Yes, we sit on the edge of what is available to us from our father.
Pick up the empty suit case, pack it and cross the border into the city of God’s promises and grasp it all. Live knowing that God has your back and has made all things available to you if you want them. Challenge yourself, challenge God, enjoy his presences in the chaos while you journey and live your life to the fullest. Dont forget to help others on the way.
Cheers!
Staying committed
In our busy hustle and bustle world it becomes very difficult to stay committed to our promises. I use myself as an example because I too am having the hardest time with this. Staying focused and committed to my promised to others began to consume me. My business, having some semblance of a personal life and being there for family and friends all made up the list. Well, as I was making this list I discovered the problem. My priorities were not in the right order and the list was shy of key components. If we place God first on the list, focus on Him always, acknowledge his presence wherever we are, and with whatever task is at hand, then the list becomes easy to navigate. So commit to God first and it will all become simple.

Confucianism and th Bible
“Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves”.Confucius (BC 551-BC 479).Confucianism is a teaching of life philosophy but parallels much of the biblical principles most of us grew up knowing. Romans 12:19 NIV “Don’t take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. Stay prayerful.
A daily prayer
“Lord I ask each day that you pilot me through this journey to Defy all Odds. I ask that you Calm my fears and continually lift my spirit. Fill me with a spirit of gratitude and selflessness. I give thanks to you for all that you have prepared for me”. As I move through the day I will anchor my faith.
This is just one of the daily prayers that I start my day with knowing that the Lord is watching, listening and preparing a way for us, his children. We all pray differently but I know that I have learned from the prayers of others. So share your prays with us.
Cheers!

Staying focus on your life project
Well, it has been a while since I took the time to post and I have read all the emails asking what have I been doing. So it is easy to understand why this post is titled this way. There are many of you who will agree that staying focused on life and the projects we create is much harder than we are willing to admit. Today I was talking with my best friend and he pointed out that he too was struggling with the same issue. Suddenly my thoughts were directed to how a professional athlete (myself included) has to stay focus and the mental tools we use to aid us on our path to victory. If I pick a sport of the many I have played, golf would be top of the list when it comes to staying focus. That is probably why it is said that golf mirrors life.
Before making a shot you have to go through a decision making process; calculate your distance, wind direction, where the ball lies, decide on a club and commit yourself to the shot and without distraction MAKE IT. Life projects are no different. Plan it, execute it, commit yourself and ignore distractions. In the process focus on God and his part in your project no matter what that might be. Your strength and clarity will come from him.
Friendship
True friends love through good times and bad. Disagree at times and other times agree to disagree. Be able to say sorry when you are wrong and move on. Cry together, laugh at each other and pray for one another. Just remember that it is a two way street. You first have to be a true friend to have true friends.
Setting unrealistic goals
As we go through life daily there are many challenges and hurdles that must be encountered. How we manage them will determine the end result. As I ponder, I realize that it is not the hurdle and the challenge that should be the focus. But more so the preparation and goals that were set before the journey began.
Case in point; I just spent the past three months preparing for a golf tournament. Lessons, equipment change, mental coaching audio, playing and practicing systematically each day. Prayers, prayers and more prayers. Left no stone unturned. The moment arrived and I performed not so good (to put it lightly). The golf course definitely won on both days.
As per usual comes the postmortem. Talking back and forth with friends, playing each hole over in my head and beating myself up. Then suddenly it hit me. How did I expect to perform well when the most essential component was missing, Competition Readiness. For starters; I had not played competitive golf in over four years. Nor had I played some friendly wagers or tournament of any kind.
My brain was out of training for competition. So there came the fight between the three brains, the heart, the head and the gut. What a tussle this was. Meanwhile the body is trying to understand what the ….. is going on. So, the unrealistic goal I set was the main cause of my final performance not being note worthy. I certainly have no plans of giving up (quite the contrary) this realization has made me stronger and has prepared me for the continuation of the journey.
The same applies to life. If we set more attainable goals the journey will be easier, the load will be lighter, the hurdles will be lower, challenges will be slight distraction. The lord will probably still smile at his child and say she/he is learning.
Cheers!
Michael Jackson, What did we learn from his life and Music?
The passing of Michael Jackson at such a young age has affected lives of all ages across the globe. I don’t believe anyone would dispute that he was an international entertainer and ambassador for humanity. For those people who saw him as weird, opinions will always be voiced especially when a person chooses to live his individual path. Something we should try more often.
To succeed with his individual path and be a success Michael Jackson had to “Defy all Odds”.Yes, he had to believe in himself, never accepting mediocrity, allowing himself to fail again and again, be patient, never giving up, love and care for others and believe in something (he chose God). It was not easy but he did it. He was blessed and protected.
What have we learned from his life and his music?
I learned that, I too am an over-comer, I am blessed, I will have struggles, I cannot give up, I have to love the people even when they hate me, love the world, I have to deal with my fears, listen when God calls and be obedient at all times, recognise and use my talents.
What have you learned from his life? We would love to hear from you.
Pray for his family and children that the Lord continues to watch over them.
